Spa Creek Swing Band
The Spa Creek Swing Band is a 6 piece band plus an optional vocalist based out of Annapolis, MD. The group was founded in 1990 by Ollie Taylor. Spa Creek plays anything a big band plays including traditional New Orleans Jazz. The group has played many venues. For example, Spa Creek played to a packed house for each performance at First Night Annapolis on New Year's Eve. The group has played at the Davidsonville Dance Club and was pictured in the Baltimore Sun playing at Corky's Hard Bean Cafe in Severna Park. This year Spa Creek has played at the Moose Lodge #1456 in Glen Burnie; at the Sheraton Columbia; a number of private parties; and performs regularly at St. John's College in Annapolis.
